Annie is both a smellhound and a sighthound and has a HUGE prey drive. She can smell and see squirrels, cats, etc. for miles! Any small animal that moves is fair game to her (and she can tell the difference between a real one and a stuffed animal!).
Consequently, she doesn't get much time off leash when we're out and about except in fenced areas and wonderful dog parks like Phoenix Dog Park! We're very happy that the park is available to us.

This is an interesting mix... There are FOUR different types of Belgian Shepherds:
Belgian Groenendael
(Belgian Sheepdog) (Belgian Shepherd)
(Chien de Berger Belge)
Belgian Laekenois
(Chien de Berger Belge) (Belgian Shepherd Laekenois)
Belgian Malinois
(Malinois) (Chien de Berger Belge) (Belgian Shepherd Malinois)
Belgian Tervuren
(Tervuren) (Chien de Berger Belge)
When you read of the abilities of the Whippit, AND the Belgian Shepherd, you realize that Annie has the capability to do anything (and FAST!).
