SACRAMENTO SHIBA-INU MEETUP GROUP

The Sacramento Shiba-Inu Meetup Group met for the first time at Phoenix Dog Park on January 11, 2009.
In attendance were 12 of these small, compact, agile dogs that look like miniature Akitas. Though all colors are acceptable, the plush double coat most often comes in red, or red with a little black overlay, or black with tan markings.
Gail, one of our dog park docents owns Sukoshi, the only black and tan Shiba-Inu in attendance. Thanks to Gale's hard work in organizing the Shiba-Inu meetup group. we can expect to see more of these rare Japanese dogs at Phoenix Dog Park this year.
