Name: Odie
Breed: Basset Hound
Age: 4-5 Years Old d: March 10, 2007
Survived by : Russ, Laurie, and Fred
Bio:

Odie had eaten a piece of bark without us knowing (it was about 3 inches in length) and it was lodged in his small intestine. After nearly a week of taking him to the vet and putting him in 24 hour veterinarian care, he was not able to make it. There was too much damage to his small intestine and removing the damaged portion (approx. 3 feet) did not save him. He had complications from the surgery and we had to let him go. Odie passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2007. We really miss Odie, so does Fred.

We located Odie on Petfinder.com in May of 2004. He was in Visalia, being fostered by a family associated with the Visalia SPCA. My wife Laurie, Fred, and I drove down and adopted Odie. We were glad to have him in our life. Odie always enjoyed playing at the dog park with Fred and all of the other dogs that were there.
