Dog Park Volunteers Needed

Phoenix Dog Park users… We need your help! We aren’t asking for money this time, rather we are asking for a little bit of time and muscle. As you know the park will be shut down for the month of March starting on Monday for the Fair Oaks Recreation and Parks Department to do their annual turf maintenance (aeration, seeding, sprinkler maintenance).
On Saturday March 20 at 9am we are going to have a work party to prep and paint the 4 shade structures so that they look good for the upcoming summer months.
If you would like to get more involved in FORDOG, or just want to help make the park look a little better, please email us at with your name and the number of people you can bring to help. More hands mean less work …that includes teenagers who might have service requirements for Scouts or school or clubs.
We will have all the equipment that’s needed, just wear something that you can get dirt and paint on. If we can get enough volunteers we should be able to have all the work done by the early afternoon, but any time you can spare that day will help.
This is a HUMAN ONLY event. The park will still be closed to dogs.
We hope to hear from you soon and see you on March 20.
