How you can help Phoenix Dog Park

We want to make Phoenix Dog Park one of the best in the country.

"Small actions multiplied by hundreds of visitors are what make our off-leash area a success."

There are several ways you can help us to do so.  They include:

Safety Tips:

  1. Pay attention to your dog in the park.
  2. Be vigilant about interaction between pets to prevent fights.
  3. Don't let your dog become part of a "pack" that picks on other dogs.  Get out of the chair and play with your dog!
  4. Don't bring stuffed toys to the park as they can be harmful to the dogs.

Cleanliness:

  1. Pick up waste immediately with a plastic bag & deposit in waste can.
  2. Adopt a Poop!  If it's not yours, pick it up anyway.  Someone will pick up what that you missed.  The idea is to keep the park clean, and that's everybody's business.

Donations:

  1. Donate plastic bags - place in holder (black mail boxes) for all.
  2. Bring old tennis balls and place in the yellow buckets on the fence.
  3. Donate outdoor chairs in serviceable condition to the park.
  4. Buy T-Shirts and other items sold by FORDOG representatives.
  5. Attend our EVENTS .
  6. Purchase a Tribute Placque to honor your dog(s).
  7. Send a donation (TAX DEDUCTIBLE) to the address below:
  8. Fair Oaks Recreation Foundation
    4150 Temescal
    Fair Oaks, CA 95628

(Note: Indicate that the donation is for the dog park.)

Miscellaneous:

  • Pick up the tennis balls you come across and return to the buckets.
[Park District Lawn Mowers during the weekdays "cut" down on the number of tennis balls available.]
  • We ask that the pools not be overfilled. Pools must be emptied at the end of each day, and they are very, very heavy when overfilled.
