I remember meeting Shaun and Stella a few years ago. Stella was new and a charged up K9 - much as Jack Russells should be. I noticed after several visits Shaun working diligently with Stella teaching her obedience basics. I don't know if he went to a professional trainer, but my suspicion is that he worked with Stella pretty much by himself.
What I did observe was a very well trained and obedient Jack Russell Terrier, which is saying a lot. They're usually very hyper and difficult to train.
Shaun spent a lot of time with Stella playing ball, taking long walks and runs. Stella was lost to a rattlesnake bite in 2006.
She will be missed at the dog park.
